We encourage our Cub Scouts to attend Summer Day Camp. The boys will have a great time, make new friends and get a significant head start on achievements for their next rank.
This year's theme is "SAFARI". Camp will be held in Bob Woodruff Park North
Liz Adkins is the Pack 25 Summer Day Camp Coordinator.
Notes for Summer Day Camp:
Everyone needs to wear their Camp T-shirts every day
Scouts need to wear their hats every day (for sun protection).
Everyone needs a sack lunch w/drink every day. Walking Den Leaders will also bring a cooler and ice to keep them in. Please don't use mayo, eggs or anything that could spoil.
Scouts will need a 5 gallon bucket with lid to sit on and carry their supplies (Lowes/HD)
Close-toed shoes - no sandals or Crocs
Comfortable shorts - no 70's style basketball shorts or hot pants...
Bring a tin or plastic cup for drinking water. They can be clipped to shorts or stored in bucket
Any prescription medication that must be taken at camp must be in the original labeled container. Meds must be turned in and picked up every day at the First Aid Station. Epi pens and inhalers need to be checked and verified each day by the nurse and then will be turned over to the Scouts to keep.
Walking Den Leaders need a cooler with ice (for lunches), a ground cloth or tarp for your den to sit on; a jug of water, soap and paper towels for hand washing, trash bags for clean-up and/or emergency rain gear.
Be prepared to smile and have a great time.
